The article describes EHIPS (Environmental Health Information Processing System). It is a software for model-based assessment of population health risk from industrial and transport emissions of pollutants to atmosphere. It has been developed mainly by the staff of the Space Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences and used for more than 100 industrial plants. It has several original architectural features in-cluding the OLAP engine for handling the multidimensional data cubes, which is the main mode of data processing in the system. Another feature is a special way of handling the results of pollution dispersion modeling by the well-known AERMOD model: we process the full time series of modeled concentrations instead of using only a time aggregate produced by built-in AERMOD tools as usually done. There are several other special data pro-cessing methods. For example, stochastic representation of emissions from pulsed sources. Multidimensional cubes are visualized as two -dimensional sections within a special module of the system which is also used for manipulating the cube, e.g. for binary operations on s elected sections. Another module is a GIS-like mapping tool for handling the positions of emission sources and risk receptors and for spatial visualization of the resu lts of risk assessment. We think that this experience of developing and applying such a specialized OLAP system can be useful not only for risk assessment, but also in other domains where multidimensional hypercubes are a natural form of data, but where the logic is different from the logic of business appli-cations which are the mainstream in OLAP.

The paper describes a web-service for automated creation of the rule-type knowledge bases based on conceptual models. The service provides an automated analysis of the XML structure of IBM Rational Rose files (that contain description of class models) and FreeMind with subsequent selection of concepts and relations. Selected concepts and relations are represented as ontology. In turn the ontological model can be used for automated generation of rule bases and their visual modeling using RVML (Rule Visual Modeling Language) notation. Obtained models are used for generation of CLIPS codes (C Language Production System). The article presents descriptions of web-service functions, the architecture, algorithms for analysis of conceptual models, and tables for models transformation support. The web-service can be considered as one of the modules of the knowledge management system. This module is designed for retrieval, structuring and formalization of knowledge in different problem domains. The approbation and testing of the web-service are carried out in development of knowledge bases of rule-based expert systems for investigation the technogenic safety of hard-to-reach water objects.

Ensuring computer networks and software scalability is one of the urgent problems for modern higher education. In the context of network traffic rapid growth IT-specialists have to spend more and more time and resources for ensuring bandwidth. At the same time, universities IT-budgets often lag behind the rate of growth. Universities need cost-effective, reliable and technological ways to meet the growing information needs while controlling costs. Created software product “Online chair” is based on the “cloud computing” concept, takes full advantage of high-tech solutions and public resources, with possible independence on specific service providers and licensed software. The product is aimed at the higher education institutions with budgetary constraints in terms of the acquisition and support their own computing infrastructure, network equipment and software. For budget universities of the Russian Federation software “Online chair” is available at no cost. The article considers the main characteristics of cloud computing, a brief analytical review of existing solutions for a higher school. In the main part the article formulates requirements to “Online chair” software, presents the main components of the software product, key architectural, technological and design solutions in the notation of UML diagrams, shows the results of testing the software and sample of user interface.

The article presents the results of developing a method of neuro-fuzzy self-organization structures in intelligent proc-ess control systems. The proposed modification of the basic algorithm can improve the control performance index of intelligent automated control systems at a reduced volume of calculations and corresponding increase in system performance. In classical train-ing rule fuzzy neural networks analyze the number of production rules, membership functions type, fuzzy inference algorithm type, etc. In the case of incorrect choice of these parameters fuzzy neural networks can be ineffective in the automation field. Th e devel-oped algorithm operation is based on the theory of sampling frequency and training frequency distribution. In the theory of control systems with discrete time it is determined that the sampling time T is usually selected according to the following rule of t humb: the value must exceed the maximum frequency of the system. In traditional adaptive control systems parameters are adjusted once e very sampling period, thus the sampling rate and update rate are not separated. We propose an expert method determining the concentra-tion coefficient of membership functions and sampling limits for further adjustments to the base of adaptive -established rules in or-der to reduce the algorithm running time and improve its efficiency when performing parametric synthesis of asymptotically stable intelligent control systems. According to the developed technique it is possible to compare the membership function parameter s which have been obtained as a result of the work of the modified adaptive algorithm of the Wang-Mendel fuzzy network, and the doubling parameters obtained from statistical processing of information systems solutions of the dynamic object state identif ication. We developed a systems operation algorithm taking into account the developed method of self-organization of neuro-fuzzy struc-tures based on the FOREL class taxonomy algorithm.

This article discusses a method of increasing the efficiency of a wide range of anaerobic microbiological pro-cesses by introducing continuous cultivation of microorganisms circulation to a scheme. Improvement of continuous process operation biotechnological processes is possible with the use of substrate and bio-mass. Recycling allows increasing the amount of flow and process productivity on the target component. At the same time re-cycling imposes additional constraints on the initial data assignment process. They are an initial substrate concentration, size and magnitude of the volume flow recirculation rate which should be carried out in the algorithm and the program in accord-ance with kinetic characteristics. Based on kinetic relations, the authors have developed an algorithm and software implementation to calculate anaerobic biotechnological process indicators with recirculation of the substrate and biomass provided complete separation of the prod-uct from the recycle stream. The relations provide an opportunity for practice. D R circulation flow rate has been measured by the efficiency of the QP intended product. The algorithm includes 21 a calculation variant of process implementing, each of them can be evaluated in the introduced flowchart. Except for calculation of process indicators, the program contains a user certificate including a description of the varia-bles and a brief program manual. There are numerical results of calculations for different initial tasks of technological parameters. They prove that the in-troduction of circulation results in increased productivity of the QP target product (compared to the same circuit and the input parameters without recirculation flow). A distinctive feature of the approach is the suggested process diversity. It allows assessing the positive effect of including recirculation to the scheme without experiment, just using a software product. Obtained relations and software implementation of the calculations can serve as a working tool for the design process and the basis for further developments in this field, in particular to assess the transient regimes and stability of steady states.

Dissipation of characteristics of construction materials fatigue properties is caused by a number of objective factors. But this problem can be solved through developing and implementing into engineering practice effective mathemati-cal methods of analyzing experimental information. This paper considers optimum planning of fatigue tests. The problem of such tests optimization is important because of their expensiveness for aviation industry, so when planning the minimum number of tests their objectives must be taken into consideration. At the same time the developed statistical analysis metho d-ology is invariant to the type of tested objects. It allows increasing accuracy of defining design characteristics of endurance and fatigue limit, considerably reducing the number of fatigue tests necessary for achieving required accuracy, thus reducing their time duration and cost. The use of the existing worksheet of exact values of noncentral distribution fractiles, as well as mathematical calculation of exact values of fractiles is connected with high labour intensity of computational procedures. This paper contains new algorithms of test planning in fractile estimating and exact calculation of Student fractile of noncentral distribution. It allows offering simpler and perfect software products (considering the speed of calculations) in comparison with offered earlier.

Experience has shown that the actual temperature fields of technical systems have uncertainty interval nature. This is due to the interval factors determining the thermal regime of the technical system. These factors include: the design parameters of technical systems with statistical techno logical manufacture spread; factors arising in the operation of technical systems ( power consumption, heat flows, internal environment parameters); environmental factors (temperature, medium, refrigerant, flows velocity, etc.). However, now modeling of temperature fields of technical systems is being conducted under the assumption of determinac y. This means that all thermal condition parameters are considered accurately known. The paper presents the method and algorithm of mathematical modeling and simulation of stochastic interval temperature fields for technical systems. The method and algorithm are based on the author's developments according to a matrix-topological method, the software complex three-dimensional deterministic modeling of temperature fields of technical systems (STF-ElectronMod), as well as Monte-Carlo method. The application of the method and algorithm for modeling interval stochastic temperature fields is considered on the example of an electronic system.

Monitoring of ionospheric condition is very important and urgent task. The ionosphere is a sensitive en-vironment of radio wave propagation, where the responses to geophysical and geological processes appear. One met h-od of monitoring ionospheric conditions is using signal transmitters range of ver y low frequency (VLF). According to the characteristics of VLF radio signals we can judge on the presence of disturbances in the ionosphere. Low -frequency waves propagate in the near-Earth plasma. In recent decades they are of considerable interest in connection with a variety of scientific and engineering applications. So using VLF radio signals it is possible to observe the ion o-sphere D-layer response on solar flares, on the processes of upcoming strong earthquakes. To process VLF radio sig-nals the authors have developed a hardware-software package which includes an antenna, amplifier, receiver, analog-to-digital converter and a PC. The software part is built using the Qt framework and third-party software libraries QwtPlot3D and QCustomPlot. The paper includes a brief description and characteristics of each of them. The software part of the package is built using MVC design pattern. There is a list of features implemented in the software. The paper also describes the prospects of the hardware-software package development.

One of the most important components of simulation and training complexes is a control system for controlling motors, payload, actuators, etc. It can be presented as a diagram of functional elements which are called functional units or functional blocks. There are a lot of developments in this field. However, despite the abundance of existing software products, the task of creating simple and affordable systems based on block diagrams for simulation and training complexes is still urgent. The article describes a software package for creating, testing, editing and calculation of functional block diagrams designed for control systems of simulation and training complexes, including robots' and manipulators' simulation, virtual laboratories and training systems. The paper discusses in detail both functionality and technology of visual editor, the algorithm and the scheme of calculation module of block diagrams. The proposed editor has broad functionality and allows simulating rather complex schemes. A calculation module is implemented as a dynamic link library which can be connected to any software package. The developed technology allows enhancing functionality by connectin g additional software modules, which may include the implementation of special purpose computing blocks and blocks for data exchange, such as external consoles. The possibilities of applying the proposed system for process simulation and training systems are illustrated by simulation of anthropomorphic robot control in manual and copying mode. The advantages of the system are the ease of use, undemanding to resources and extensibility.

A new model of neural network, Double-Layer Vector Perceptron (DLVP), to solve nearest neighbor search problem, is proposed. The problem of single-layer perceptron, when error of the even one output neuron leads to fail of all network, is solved. DLVP is improved single-layer perceptron with additional layer, which accumulates information. As result, it is possible to right recognize even if all middle layer neurons are fail, i.e. neural networks with ‘weak’ neurons can be built. The model was compared with a single-layer vector perceptron. This comparison showed that though its operation requires slightly more computations (by 5 %) and more effective computer memory, double-layer vector perceptron excels at a much lower error rate (four orders of magnitude lower). We obtained the estimate of DLVP storage capacity and analyzed its properties. During this analysis we found out that the model has one more useful property, which single -layer vector perceptron does not have, i.e. using the proposed model we can effectively solve k nearest neighbors search problem.
