31. Software and algorithmic support for implementation of a new approach to the construction of an integrated transport network [№4 за 2014 год]
Author: Popkov G.V.
Visitors: 6835
The paper considers a new algorithm and software approach to construction and operation of urban primary telecommunications networks. It assumes that the owner and operator of all cable networks in the underground part of a set-tlement is the Government Organization leasing the channels of communication to all commercial operators on a compet itive basis. This approach allows saving town-planning resources while satisfying all potential subscribers by all telecommunica-tion services. In addition, all operators in this case are equal in their ability to have access to any communication service s by any subscribers. The author proposes an S hyper network approach to solve the problem of organizing a unified transport network (ITSS). He suggests modified algorithms for finding the locations of network stations and distribution networks boundaries for each type of cable lines, a neighborhood cable ducts optimization, optimal routing, selection of optimal structures of j-type cable lines, determining the type and capacity of j-type communication lines, as well as optimal packing of cable lines in the asbes-tos cement pipes (conduits). Solutions unification for the design, construction and subsequent operation of ITSS running by state regulator will allow regulating relationships between telecom operators, as well as improving social and economic bene-fits from the provision of various services of telecommunication networks.

The main purpose of acoustooptic processors which is measuring radiosignals parameters. All necessary in-formation about the signal and its parameters is enclosed in analog light Fourier distribution in analysis plane, where there is either CCD photo receiver or a photo diodes line, signal from which is then digitized with onboard means in the form of light intensity amplitudes distribution. The processing such digital signal is fully or partially entrusted to outer calculating sy stem – a personal computer. Under such conditions special software is really important. It extracts useful information out of re-ceived data stream, as well as has servicing functions. The paper considers the application structure and capabilities for the most popular class of acoustooptic processors – radiosignals frequency measurer. The program has the function of real-time reading and displaying amplitude distribution, the function of manual and automatic measuring signal frequency. It helps to carry out a few types of calibration from back-ground noise compensation to finishing with frequency scale nonlinearity account. There is also a possibility to save received distributions into files for their further analysis in such well known programs as MathCad, MatLab etc. The application al-lows controlling exterior laboratory equipment using Ethernet interface, particularly the Agilent generator or other firms. That allows testing its characteristics and taking them into account at device calibration before measurer working automati-cally.

The paper develops the approach to the implementation of the boundary element method aimed at the paralleling of computations for solving two-dimensional problems on steady-state potential flows. The key feature of the applied solution algorithms is the exact computation of all integrals over boundary elements by analytical formulae derived by the authors. This noticeably increases solution accuracy and reduces calculation time. The designed soft-ware package is intended for solving two-dimensional problems of the potential theory in arbitrary geometry with specified boundary conditions for a required function or flow. A possibility of solving homogeneous problems (wit h-out internal sources) is implied, as well as problems with specified source functions. A source function is specified by a separate program module. Special attention is given to the case when the source function is harmonic. This enables all the calculations in solving an inhomogeneous problem to be brought to the area boundary. A graphic editor is in-cluded in the software package to specify the geometry of the area under study and to introduce problem parameters and boundary conditions. An area is specified by its external boundary consisting of rectilinear and circular portions. Boundary conditions and the number of boundary elements are specified for each portion. Besides, by means of the graphic editor, inside the calculated area a zone can be specified where the values of the required mesh are to be calcu-lated. This zone is also specified by a boundary consisting of rectangular and circular portions. The mesh fineness in the zone is specified arbitrarily, and the recalculation for a new mesh does not require a new solution to the initial problem. The software package was implemented on the Uran supercomputer installed at IMM, UB RAS. Problems on heat distribution in square and elliptic plates for various source functions are considered as examples.

Currently, continuous casting is dominant in production of non-ferrous metals and their alloys. However, tech-nological practice actively introducing new casting technology which requires careful study and justification. Casting process designers have to deal with software to research physical phenomena during metal casting and crystallizing and to optimize process-dependent parameters. Such systems at the initial stage can replace a physical model experiment with a computing experiment to save resources. The article describes the mathematical model and software for modelling vertical continuous and discrete-continuous casting of nonferrous metal. The first section of the article reviews basic requirements for mathemat-ical models of casting process as well as the scheme and the model of search technological process. The second section d e-scribes a CAE casting process and conducting computing experiment which makes it possible to establish the main laws and get the advices on the development of optimum modes. The software can be implemented in technological practice in indu s-try. The resulting recommendations for optimal conditions can be used in the design of new processes and selection of ope r-ating practices on operating enterprise to improve product quality and increase the productivity of the process.

Functional modeling is widely applied in technology of building composite materials alongside with physical (manufacturing of the material physical sample) and structurally-imitating (imitation of system structural el-ements interoperability) modeling. The result is reception of the certain mathematical function that describes research object behavior abstracting from internal structure of a material substratum. The authors develop the program of B-D13 three-factor planned experiment data processing. It allows counting the plan and processing experiment results. The program algorithm includes a procedure of calculation of response func-tion factors, statistical processing and mathematical model visualization. All basic calculations are made cyclically that allows reconstructing a mathematical model abruptly, changing input data. Besides, the algorithm includes the auxilia-ry procedure providing input data syntactic check. The program corrects user actions using text notification when there are input data errors. The program has additional functions of data loading and conservation, as well as the functi on of exporting calculations results to Microsoft Excel where the user can make additional developments. The software product interface is implemented in the form of logical blocks that allow entering initial data and changing parameters of mathematical model output in interactive mode. The developed software product is applied to a planned experiment on research of concrete mixture parameters in-fluence on properties of the filled fine-grained concrete. The authors received a statistically adequate mathematical model of concrete strength. The developed software can be used in any scientifically-applied problems to optimize re-search object properties, select compounding and technological parameters where mathematical modeling is used by an experiments orthogonal planning method.

The paper presents a software module which includes a variety of different algorithms and methods: direct and iterative sparse solvers for symmetric and non-symmetric matrices, various preconditioners, different formats for storing sparse matrices in RAM, HPC technologies based on OpenMP and CUDA. A method for solving incompressible materials problems based on Uzawa algorithm was implemented in this software module. An algorithm for an optimal sparse solver choice depending on mechanical problem, its dimensions and available hardware resources was designed and implemented. A user can limit some options and set parameters that influence a choice of a sparse solver or directly specify which solver to use. In fact, the software module is some kind of a wrapper over individual sparse solvers which takes a matrix and a right hand side as an input as well as some solver’s settings, and then decides which solver to run based on the algorithm, confi g-ures it and converts a matrix to a corresponding format (different solvers may have different optimal storage formats for a sparse matrix). A series of numerical experiments that confirms the validity of the criteria used in the algorithm was per-formed by the author.

There is a need to process heterogeneous information in complex information technology systems operating. It is useful to introduce the concept of information-technological process (ITP) for processing certain types of information. The object-oriented programming mechanisms are used when implementing specific ITP for information processing. They are encapsulation, inheritance, and polymorphism. When implementing the ITP software part it is reasonable to create a software prototype – a preliminary implementation of the proposed new software product. The main purpose of the prototype creating is elimination of ambiguities on the early stages of the development process. To develop a prototype it is better to use a parallel software development model. In addition, a prototype creation allows estimating the software creating costs and taking management decisions. The authors applied an algorithmic model of the software development estimation – a COnstructive COst MOdel (COCOMO). The article considers the features of the COCOMO application and the ITP software prototype using baseline for assessing labor intensity and costs of software development as a function of the program size. The size is expressed in thousands of estimating code lines. KLOC is used (kilo lines of code) to indicate the scope of program lines.

The article considers the principles of creation of models to solve the problems of forming freight routes from departure stations to destination stations using various trains, as well as the problem of a choosing the most suitable train route. Cars can be delivered by one or several trains from departure stations to destination stations. At the departure stations a corresponding number of cars is joined to the suitable train set. It should be unhooked at the destination stations or at the in-termediate switchyards. These cars will be attached to other trains at the intermediate switchyards. The sending cars are de-livered to destination stations or to the most convenient stations using such trains for the subsequent delivery. The traditional simulation methods for solving such problems cause difficulties connected with high dimensionality and complexity of constraints for the conditions of freight cars transportation. The proposed principles are based on the idea of descriptions of freight cars quantity changes in and after each train sta-tion using special motion equations. Such equations are created by analogy with the motion equations which are used in dis-crete processes control. The using of these motion equations allowed creating the choice model of cars freight routes to the destination stations with various trains, as well as the model for defying the necessary quantity of trains routes. Besides, the paper describes the structure of a computer system implementing these models and the results of the computing experiments made by this sys-tem. A series of numerical experiments showed a sufficiently high effectiveness of the computer s ystem.

The quality of documentary subject search or search for documents containing specifically coordinated information on a target subject is not always satisfactory. Despite the availability of powerful search engines for the Inter net information resources or special databases, the process remains time-consuming and poorly supported by software and methodologically. This paper describes the software implementation of a genetic algorithm for identifying and selecting most relevant results received during sequentially executed subject search operations. Simulated evolutionary process generates sustain able and effective population of search queries, forms search pattern of documents or semantic core, creates relevant sets of required documents, allows automatic classification of search results. The paper discusses the features of subject search, justifies the use of a genetic algorithm, describes arguments of the fitness function and describes basic steps and parameters of the algorithm. It also notes that the objective function or quality criteria is determined by the document position in search results built by the search engine for maximum number of different queries and semantic similarity of documents search pattern on a given subject. Software implementation is described in detail: general object models, user interface, the algorithm main library, morphological analysis modules, texts similarity analysis modules, search modules, database management modules, metadata management modules. The information on module classes composition and components is provided. The paper describes genetic algorithm software implementation that is one of the elements of Intelligent Distributed Information Management System for Innovations in Science and Education powered by the Russian Foundation of Basic Research. The algorithm plays an important role in functioning of the adaptive search engines. It is noted that developed algorithm software creates a sufficiently broad basis for further research and development.
