The article discusses the ways to improve the safety and efficiency of a destruction complex for organophosphorus agents using development of applied mathematical methods for increasing the reliability and survivability of TPACS of a chemical weapon destruction facility when the hazard level is normal. A management problem is formalized. The problem of optimal control is formulated as a maximization problem. The problem of industrial complex operational management is formulated as a linear programming problem. The objective function of this problem is a linear function, which determines the maximum possible mass of toxic substances that is destroyed in one cycle. The coefficients of a linear function are the price of products and energy flows. Tolerance range of regime parameters of technological operations (capacity balance equation, material flows tolerances, load range) define the scope of restrictions for the objective function. The authors developed a method of determining the intervals of linear model input variables, which do not lead to a significant deviation from the found optimum and at the same time provide stability of the optimal solution when model parameters change; such intervals which indirectly contribute to the survivability of the technological system.

Regular introduction of innovations in production processes and changing a stock list to match market requirements is a necessary condition to survive in the competition. To account the impact of risks and ensure implementation of innovative development plans it is suggested to use so-called -tasks, which involve a probabilistic assessment of the control object mathematical model feasibility constraints (“soft limits”). The authors propose to replace probabilistic values by the intervals of their possible change for convenient using methods of finding a solution and apply interval-guaranteed optimal control. The article describes the nature and variations of -tasks vectors and matrices components, which are right-hand sides of innovative development model constraints. The paper also considers the algorithms of searching for external and internal problem solutions for a two-model problem formulation of the interval-guaranteed optimal management of innovative development. They take into account the variation ranges of input variables and feasible regions. Enterprise management information systems help to automate evaluating the requirements and external environment conditions, assessing the current status of production processes and resources of the enterprise, running its operation, setting goals and forming an innovative development plan considering risks, updating the goals. These information systems are suggested to call automated control systems of enterprise innovative development (ACSEID). The article presents a functional model of a risk management process and updating development plans. It also describes an information model and database entity, which implement interval-guaranteed management of innovative development. The use of ACSEID will ensure the implementation of the enterprise innovative development plan if the uncertain parameters are within the specified ranges of their change.

The paper presents numerical methods of determining an aircraft spatial attitude according to its optical image: namely modernized method of reference points and external contours method. In general, the task is to define a spatial position of a solid according to its central projection on a plane. Each of these methods allows receiving accurate solving the problem of determining an aircraft spatial attitude in panoramic view systems. In particular, both of the methods give the opportunity to define an aircraft spatial attitude at close distances between aircraft center and a receiving matrix. In case of automatic method of external contours such a definition is carried out in real time using standard calculating facility. The authors propose a modification of a new method of external contours in comparison with the one elaborated earlier. It is based on the transfer of all calculations from a flat physical receiving matrix to a virtual spherical receiving matrix and their automation. Practical implementation and accuracy testing of the reference points method were carried out using coordinate-measuring stand including tracking an optical channel receiving matrix. Plotting and following processing of aircraft images external contours were made using a tracking function received on the coordinate-measuring stand. There is a comparison of the experimental results obtained using the method of external contours with the results received using the method of reference points in order to determine the distance and angles of orientation of the aircraft spatial attitude. The elaborated numerical methods of determining an aircraft spatial attitude according to its optical image provides miscalculation when calculating angles of aircraft orientation: for the reference points method it is 1.5 degrees, for the external contours method it is 4 degrees. The methods are implemented as corresponding software for systems of external control and aircrafts recognition.

When developing computer-aided process planning (CAPP), special attention is paid to the issues of interac-tion of individual parts with the whole system. For this purpose a multi-agent approach is applied, meaning that agents repre-sent entities which are able to perceive their environment and modify it by their actions. The problems of information graphic representation during designing forgings are studied by the example of the graphic editor, which is an independent and self-sufficient component of the hammer and press forging computer-aided system. A graphic editor is a multi-agent system where agents look like special programs determining the laws of agent existence, behavior and the possibility of representa-tion. The agent’s function is to choose its own behavior according to the information received from other agents or an envi-ronment, which is CAPP and the user of the system. The aim of an agent is the selection of the optimal action directed to the correct and total representation of graphic information. The paper considers the problems of agent selection for representing graphic information in the computer-aided system of hammer and press forging, as well as the composition and interaction of agents, their properties and operation principles under uncertainty. The strategy of agent behavior is based on mathematical logic taking into account the fact that the problem of forging design is poorly formalizable. The authors developed a concep-tion of interrelated and coordinated behavior of the agents during choosing actions and decision-making. The paper discusses some rules of system response to the start of the selected agents depending on the range of utility. They ensure correct and complete representation of geometric information in the graphic editor of hammer and press forging CAPP.

The paper concerns assessment of students' knowledge based on their learning results in ECOLE system. ECOLE system is an online eLearning system, whose functionality is based on ontologies and semantic technologies. Stu-dents' activity in the system is collected and analysed automatically in the system to give students recommendations on sub-ject terms, concepts or domains they know excellent or poor, to advise them which educational program to choose and which scientific activities in the university are close to the courses they passed best. The system's educational content comes from various sources: linked open data, tests published on the Web, video lectures and tests manually uploaded by the university staff. ECOLE system allows interlinking subject terms from different courses and domains and calculates several educational rates: subject term knowledge rate, total subject term knowledge rate, domain knowledge rate and subject term significance rate. All of these rates are used to give recommendations for a student about the activities he has to undertake to pass a course successfully. A term knowledge rate is calculated using predefined sets of metrics and algorithms. The paper describes the concept of subject term importance in the learning process. Term importance and a total subject term knowledge rate allow calculating the student’s knowledge rates for different subject fields and learning courses.

The article discusses the problem of the Internet development and its impact on the gene pool of humanity and individuals. The author considers an analogy of the evolution of the Internet with the evolution of human information genetic system and discusses disadvantages of the Internet using a comparative analysis. He also describes the comparative quantitative data of Internet development and evolution of the human information system. According to the analogy used, further progress of the Internet is not in expanding the functions but in the creation of a strict and effective “immune” system of and information security. Linguistic communication between the members of a limited community (corporation staff) is a result of the need to join forces for controlling and using natural resources by the members of this group and protecting these resources from other groups. The collective benefits in the competition for resources are provided by specific for a small group (corporation staff) and agreed signs (language) for operations and objects, by the need for competition with other groups for control over resources of life. Nowadays information on the Internet and in other media has become one of the most important resources, for a state too. Using the Internet as a medium of information exchange between people must obey the laws of the historical development of these means in human evolution.

The authors suggest a block diagram and hardware implementation of equipment for electromechanical systems (EMS) technical condition diagnostics. EMS include an acquisition unit, encoding unit, a unit that forms a group control signal of EMS technical condition, its transmission to a communication channel and to a receiving unit for the EMS technical condition group control signal, primary processing unit, extraction and neural network analysis units. The main element of EMS diagnosing neural network system hardware facilities is the neural network device, which shows the output response of a decision neural network regarding EMS technical condition. The article proves the feasibility of using neural chips in embedded diagnostics systems of EMS technical condition. At the same time neurocomputer and transputer computing systems are useful when the unit of collection, coding, generation, transmission of EMS technical condition group control signal is in one zone, and the receiving unit of the EMS technical condition group control signal, its primary processing, extraction and neural network analysis is in another zone. Suggested special software for diagnosing EMS states includes software and mathematical modules for preliminary statistical processing of measured EMS parameters arrays, modules for models synthesis, as well as modules for using synthesized models depending on the class of technical condition control tasks. The paper shows a research on the possibility of applying software of neural networks options for diagnosing complex EMS with a given reliability. There are results of this study.

Based on the fact that modern simulators have a hierarchical (modular) structure of their analogue device, the authors have developed a method, which helps to determine the quantitative assessment of the simulation modeling adequacy in the simulator for each hierarchical level as its simulation results become closer to reality. This method eliminates the drawbacks of the method for assessing the simulator adequacy as a “black box”. This is its advantage. However, it has a disadvantage: forming distinct methodological errors. The errors appear during the decomposition of object’s functionals and model in Taylor series and limitations in the use of their members. It is obvious that this error can be detected by comparing the estimates of the adequacy, which are received using the first and the second methods. In the future, this identified methodological error can be taken into account when using confirmed functionals for new statistics. In this case, changes in the conditions of using radioelectronic facilities there is no need to obtain additional statistics. When upgrading individual subsystems of radioelectronic facilities, additional statistical data only from these subsystems is required. However, to ensure correct indication of the concomitant conflict feature in the process of testing and certification of simulators, it is advisable (if possible) to confirm it using the method of simulation modeling adequacy assessment in simulators by their information field.

Carrying out a scientific research in different areas requires huge amounts of computing power. Moreo-ver, computationally demanding tasks are assumed to have access to powerful servers and computing clusters and are expected to support handling big data sets. On the other hand, mobile devices have become increasingly powerful, that makes it possible to employ them in large-scale data processing, particularly, for volunteer computing like BOINC and Folding@home. Nevertheless, despite the advances in hardware, it is important to improve computational algorithms taking into account the following constraints which are determined by mobile devices characteristics: long response time, limited memory and battery life. The main purpose of this research is to create the algorithms to estimate Fourier coefficients according to these minimal requirements. To attain the aim, we employed connection coefficients method to work out specific relations for continuous Laguerre functions. In comparison with the corresponding recurrence re-lations, which entail an enormous computational cost, the proposed analytical relations require less computational re-sources to produce results (in particular, time and space). To support the theoretical results, we conducted a series of computational experiments using MATLAB Profiler. The findings of this research present the software implementa-tion of Fourier coefficients estimation to operate with limited computational resources and the results of the mobile application tested on a device. Based on these tests, we analysed the elapsed running time to process big data sets vary-ing the volume of data and the number of Fourier coefficients.

The article discusses specialized software for computer-aided design of nozzle layout in secondary cooling sec-tions of continuous casting machine. The main purpose of the system is calculation of nozzle optimal positions in each space between rollers with respect to predefined optimization criterion for the thermal state of the slab. The system is logically di-vided into three subsystems: a subsystem for managing input data, a subsystem for simulation and optimization, a subsystem for storage and visualization of output data. System decomposition into program modules is given based on the logical struc-ture. The core of the system is the simulation and optimization module, which implements numerical search of nozzle opti-mal positions on the basis of iterative simulation of the thermal state of the slab when using given nozzle layout and repeated correction of that layout. Apart from the core, the system contains modules for filling and editing input data, data serialization and data visualization. The system is implemented in an object-oriented paradigm using Java language. Netbeans Platform is used as a base for building user interface of the system. The article presents a brief description of system user interface as well as an example of applying the system for calculating nozzle optimal layout for an existing caster.
