The task of upgrading the software of a massively parallel supercomputer for the simultaneous execution of two different operating systems (Linux and Microsoft Windows HPC Server) at the same hardware cluster, each of them at its own node set (logical cluster) is completed. The process of installing Microsoft Windows and HPC Pack tools on cluster nodes using two DHCP servers is described. One of the features of the proposed solution is the absence of the Infiniband (Application Network) connection at the headend under Linux, which makes it necessary to use two DHCP servers. The problems revealed in the course of installing the Windows HPC Server and the Russian interface package are mentioned. The following approaches to organizing the choice of an operating system loaded to the cluster nodes are considered: the choice of the loaded system by an operator, alternation, creation of a common boot sector and choice of the loaded operating system by recording a file on this disk, and network loading with the choice of the operating system by a DHCP server. The latter approach is proved to be to most appropriate, some peculiarities of its implementation are described. The scripts that control the node switching and their functions are listed. It is mentioned that the main scripts are executed at the Linux headend. The access to these scripts from the Windows headend is provided by extending PowerShell tools by means of the SSH cmdlet set from PowerShell that uses the SSH.NET library. The proposed solution provides a quick switching of nodes between the Linux and Windows logical clusters.

The article describes methodical support for automated examination of technical level of helicopter night vision goggles that allow quantitative assessment of any technicality, to provide a comparison of technical levels of different models of night vision goggles and to assess their tests readiness in a helicopter. Technical level estimation is based on qualimetric approach: quality factors of simple, complicated and complex properties are determined by calculation, the properties weighting coefficients and the individual quality factors of simple (qualitative) technical properties are determined by expert way. An estimate of the technical level is determined recursively using technical properties tree. The resulting solutions provide the proposals reasoning to improve technical properties of the night-vision goggles, The properties (characteristics) that need to be improved (simple properties of the low-quality factors in the first place) are determined and measures (layout, design, etc.) to improve these properties are developed. An implementation of sound measures for the improvement of helicopter night vision goggles allow reduction in the number of accidents, as well as the prerequisites for them when helicopters flying at night and the crew using night vision goggles.

Vertical continuous casting is one of the main technologies of manufacturing nonferrous metal and their alloy products. Understanding physical phenomena of casting, cooling and crystallizing processes is the key condition of technological development. Casting process designers deal with CAE systems to research physical phenomena during metal casting and crystallizing and to optimize process-dependent parameters. Such systems at the development stage can replace a physical model experiment with a computing experiment to save time and material resources. The article describes a CAE system for modelling vertical continuous and discrete-continuous casting of nonferrous metal and alloy cylindrical feedstock, optimizing process-dependent parameters and visualizing crystal growth process. The first section of the article reviews casting packets developed to date and investigates the scope of their application. The second section describes a CAE casting process flow diagram and details system modules – a data input module, a mesh generation module, a thermal process calculation module, an optimization module, a microporosity module, a chemical component distribution module and a crystallization module. The results of computing experiments conducted with the system developed and researching the influence of technological parameters on the cooling and casting channelling processes are presented.

The article considers the class of competing organizational and technical systems, their operation is based on extensive using of technical means and is in interaction with the environment. Controlled object interacts with the environment when fulfill the set tasks. This environment is interpreted in as an "enemy" and "nature". Uncertainty of knowing factors, conditions and laws of the interaction of the controlled object (subject) with the environment for command and control part (the decision maker) is generalized as a set of informative situations. Fragmentation of informative situations into classes depends on the uncertainty degree of information available for a decision maker when making decision. The article proposes an approach to the choice of mathematical criteria to estimate the effectiveness of competing organizational and technical systems which is based on the classification of informative situations. Such approach may be useful when developing decision support systems.

The paper presents general description of meta-algorithm, used by some class of multiagent systems. Nowadays multiagent approach for complex systems building gains more and more popularity. But the theory, connected with it, still remains not developed enough. It’s still unclear or not well-founded, which kind of systems should be used in particular cases, and what advantages these systems have. Partly it’s because multiagent systems may have different meanings in different research areas. In this work one particular class of multiagent systems is considered. Formalization of this class is connected with Markov chains, so we can estimate some properties of these systems using that mathematical instrument. Then, for systems built with some functions, statement is proved that probability of finding allowable solution by agent is higher when fitness function meaning for this solution is higher.

The article offers the approach to automation of operator's error control when simulation training based on a model method. In this case the model is the algorithm written based on operating instructions. Deviations of an operator from the model are his errors to be minimized as a result of training. The following types of errors are considered: missing an operation, missing an operation considering its quality, relocation and adding operations. Detection of errors in serial and branching structures is shown in the article. The branching structures are described using logic operations of comparison, functional checks operations and performance monitoring operations. Complex operation "Performance-Check" is considered as an example of brunching algorithm. Functional structure of training mode structure is presented. The issues are scrutinized considering a formation of model solution of training task and comparison of training process with model solution. Formation of model solution is performed by model solution editor that is a built-in utility of training task editor. In case the model solution is present in a current training task, it is offered to form automatic evaluation of task fulfillment by comparing actual training process with this solution. General evaluation of task fulfillment, determined by evaluation of single actions, is formed according to the worst of existing partial estimates, taking into account total limit of time allotted for fulfillment of training task.

The article is devoted to the methodological approaches to the maturity appraisement of the software development processes according to the CMMI® model developed by the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) at Carnegie Mellon University. The article proposes and discusses the methods of quality appraisement of objective evidence and extent of implementation of practices that ensure achievement of the goals of the CMMI® process areas. Such appraisals are necessary to understand the processes maturity level of the developer. In case of uncertainty and/or information incompleteness on the implementation of CMMI® practices, it is reasonable to use a toolkit used for decision-making in weakly formalized subject domains. It helps to increase confidence in appraisal team solutions. This article considers two approaches to appraisals formation: fuzzy logic methods and multi-criteria classification methods (using the classes with fuzzy boundaries and the decision rules) with the possibility of their combining depending on the completeness of information available for the appraisal team.
