The article considers an approach to providing ship positioning in commission using automatic identification systems (AIS) with the assessment of the possibility to increase the accuracy of designated position retention when implementing a centralized measurement method. It also considers an approach to developing the structure of a ship automated control system that provides automated control of the ship during joint maneuvers. The approaches are based on the fact that currently it is possible to determine a ship's place continuously and accurately according to satellite radio navigation systems. This provides an efficient navigation support for activities of forces through automated processing and providing navigation data to a user. At the same time, capacity and high-speed data exchange is an important issue in activities of forces. It is essential in the process of managing the Navy forces and means in a rapidly changing environment and increasing in information flows. The practice of the Navy demonstrated the need to create a remote control system for tactical objects. It should solve the problems of determining geographical coordinates of its units and providing these data for users with a possibility to broadcast data including a space segment when a direct link is absent. The use of AIS in vessel traffic management systems operation showed significant advantages that are associated with the defini-tion of a place and motion parameters of maritime objects and ensuring their safe movement without collision. An AIS can be used as a prototype of a ship automated control system.

The volume of gas and oil production and the length of pipelines has significantly increased over the past 10–15 years. According to report data, annually more than 30 % of accidents on main pipelines happen because of corrosion. This issue is also relevant for chemical industry, in particular related to aggressive substances. Most of the existing information systems and databases related to industrial safety and corrosion protection are closed. This paper presents a functional structure of a developed information modeling system of corrosion protection of industrial equipment. It can also be used to protect pipelines. The paper describes the purpose and basic function blocks of the information modeling system. It also presentes a logical model of a material database, which is a part of a storage information subsystem, and a list of all other databases used within the system. When implementing, the authors used a three-tier architecture with a database management system and web-technologies. The article presents main user interfaces and a module of material selection. It describes the tasks for application of the information modeling system of equipment protection from corrosion.

13. Problems of network traffic statistics processing to detect intrusion in existing information systems [№1 за 2016 год]
Author: Efimov A.Yu.

The article focuses on the problems of collecting and analyzing network traffic statistics to detect intrusion in information systems. Network traffic statistics is considered at the IP Packets flow level. The article considers two possible approaches to collecting such network traffic statistics. They are: collecting statistics at network key points and collecting statistics directly at network nodes. The author compares these approaches in the context of an intrusion detection system implementation into existing information systems. He also shows that the approach to collecting statistics at the key points of network depends on a network topology, while the approach collecting statistics directly on network nodes does not. The paper demonstrates that generation of summary network statistics for both approaches requires a resource-intensive operation (flow deduplication). It makes it necessary to use high-performance equipment. In the case of statistics collection directly at network nodes the author suggests a method for significant reducing of requirements to computing resources to form network summary statistics. This method eliminates the need for deduplication by monitoring network traffic only in one direction at all network nodes and external data links. The paper justifies that the incoming network traffic is effective for this purpose. It is shown that this method allows detecting several types of intrusion in local area networks both from external intruders and insiders without many resources. Cases of illegal network connections are also considered.

Autonomous systems for exploration, guarding, reconnaissance and taking probes are widely spread nowadays. Thus, a lot of well educated specialists are required in corresponding areas. There is a problem educating such specialists. It is connected with the necessity of practical experience in developing this kind of systems and interacting with them. The main fields of knowledge the graduated specialists have to deal with are neural networks, image recognition systems, image handling systems, fuzzy logic systems. To make students experienced in such kind of field, the authors have developed an autonomous four-wheeled platform. The platform is equipped with a set of sensors and a special arm for taking samples. The chassis of the platform is a four-wheeled plate made of styrofoam. The platform is driven by 12V motors with built-in gearbox. The platform is equipped with on-board Raspberry Pi computer with Raspbian as an operating system. The motors are controlled by the Aruduino Uno board connected to the Raspberry Pi through USB. There is a motorshield mounted on the Arduino that controls the motors of the platform. The prototyping shield with the set of sensors (magnetometer + accelerometer) is also mounted on the Arduino. The Arduino board is connected to the ultrasonic distance sensors to detect obstacles in front of the platform. There is an IP-camera in front part of the platform to get video information of the platform's environment. While working, the on-board computer creates a WiFi access point. One can control the platform or get its videostream using this WiFi network. The software of the platform consists of a set of programs that are connected to each other via network protocols using client-server technology. The set of the programs includes video server to get information from the IP-camera, the neural network server, the fuzzy logic server and the server to control the motors of the platform. The platform and its software were used during international technical summer schools provided by Siberian State Aerospace University named after M. F. Reshetnev. This system can also be used during the autonomous system development process.

Development of information technologies made people to pay more attention to automated methods of data analysis and processing. This article describes two interconnected methods for data processing: multifactor data analysis using the major components method and neural networks. The work showed a necessity to process data from patients’ tests and to predict a target parameter value through time based on this data. Prediction of a certain target parameter makes medical treatment easier due to doctor’s faster decision-making regarding a way of treatment. The authors used a multifactor analysis method (major components method). It allowed decreasing a problem scale, showed requirements to educational and test sets to design a mathematical model based on a neural network. It also allowed identifying key factors, which can be used as initial parameters for a neural-network model. The article contains load diagrams and graphical interpretation of a correlation between patients’ test values, as well as authors’ conclusions about correlation. Further, a neural network trained using a training sample (an amount of experiments for training was about 200). Training quality was controlled using a test set (an amount of experiments for a test was about 50). The article also contains a comparison of calculated and experimental data. An error of the neural network is 8 %. The authors developed software using C# and Visual Studio to implement the described methods.

Based on analyzing types and content of the Navy combat operations the article justifies the structure of hardware and software tactical simulators for training combat units in ship command posts, submarines, homogeneous and heterogeneous naval tactical groups. The composition and structure of tactical training complex hardware should reflect the structure of real naval command posts. It should also adjust to real ships projects and a manning chart of combat units, command posts and control posts with their workstations. The content of combat actions and naval combat define the requirements for special software of simulators. Special software of tactical training complexes is a set of models of resources, objects, the environment, combat actions, training information models of workstations and trainers’ software.

Regulations and state standards are the main documents for regulating development of secured software automated systems. However, it has been a while since their adoption, and a software development technology is upgrading fast. In particular, the classical software development waterfall model, which was taken as a basis for these state standards and had been popular for many years, is recently found to be ineffective due to the lack of flexibility in formal development management. Lack of a development process flexibility leads to an inability to respond to emerging changes of system requirements and may lead to nonfulfillment of requirements specifications. The hybrid development method that combines the advantages of classical approach and modern flexible methods can solve the contradiction between a high technological level of modern automated systems development and outdated requirements of governing documents. The integration of modern flexible design techniques led to appearing of combination development models. At the stages of a waterfall model of software development life cycle they are of great interest both from the scientific point of view (to improve methodological approaches to software development), and practical (for high-quality software that corresponds to the requirements). The article describes some features of introduction of flexible development methods of special purpose functional software. They were identified by the experts of the Research Institute Centerprogramsystem when working on development projects. These features include requirements formation and management including tracing and prioritization, planning and tracking a work progress. The authors consider a number of differences between these types of activities in the development of special purpose software executed in accordance with state standards and a classic waterfall development method. They suggest solutions for organizing a hybrid process that combines the advantages of waterfall and flexible methods of special purposes functional software development and ensures an appropriate implementation according to government standards.

The article discusses the problem of finding the polyhedrons with given shape inside other polyhedrons. This problem is a particular case of the third part of the 18th Hilbert problem. It can be applied in computer simulation of three-dimensional objects, the autonomous robots moving and the jewelry industry. The article offers several alternative methods of finding inscribed polyhedrons based on the reduction of the problem to a nonlinear programming problem and solving it using ready-made software resources. The basic idea is that the problem is easily described in terms of non-linear programming. Internal polyhedron volume is an objective function. Restrictions include saving a combinatorial structure, a polyhedron being inside another one, convexity and additional constraints that are necessary for practical purposes. This article describes two different ways to specify a nonlinear programming problem. In addition, it describes free software resources to solve this problem. To make work with non-linear programming solvers easier, only the third order polynomials can be used as the functions. The proposed possible approximations for the main types of restrictions allow to convert all the necessary restrictions to the third-order polynomials. Finally, the article describes a distributed testing system and the algorithm effectiveness. The testing system was developed in Python and is used to test and develop the algorithm. It allows aggregating data across multiple runs of the algorithm in a user-friendly format and comparing results of different versions of the algorithm.

The article describes calculation methods of ship navigational safety parameters and indicators. It shows that the method implemented in navigational tables MT-2000 and the Instruction for navigation equipment INO-2000 is outdated. It contains methodological inaccuracies and has low efficiency. Such shortcomings are typical for ship navigation in general. The authors suggested developing the Rules of solving navigation probabilistic problems without marked discrepancies. They also suggested creating an integrated textbook, which should contain methods for solving navigation probability problems and cover sections of several disciplines to further algorithmization of rules for their machine implementation.
