Author: Chernov S.A.
Visitors: 9145
The paper describes a torsional-flexural buckling of an open profile thin-walled beam with one line of symmetry. It is assumed that there are constant longitudinal forces on the length of the beam, i.e. the beam is consid-ered weightless. The author obtained a matrix of capacity load of thin-walled beam finite element that works for bend-ing and torsion. It is based on the potential deformation energy expression with torsional-flexural buckling of such a thin-walled beam and nodal displacement energy relations. There are matrixes of thin-walled beam finite element ca-pacity load and a square box-section section beam finite element with nodes along sections outlines corresponding to the connection nodes of a plate and a beam with symmetrical mounting and in chess order. Modeling a stiffened plate is implemented in the PC program. The paper describes the characteristics of the program, its functionality and numer-ical algorithm features. There are comparative calculations under uniaxial tension of a square plate modeled by rectan-gular finite elements working to bend. The paper gives calculations results of critical load of a stiffened plate and un-stiffened plate considering beams sections and without them.

The paper considers features and methods for solving optimiza-tion and production planning problems. It describes the efficiency of the approach to the development of the modified metaheuristics operators that include the optimization problem constraints. The paper considers the class of optimization problems when the objective function is calculated using the simulation method. The environment of cutting optimization in-cludes the optimization module on the basis of genetic algorithm and laying algorithm (for kitchen units). The user sets: a unit size and their number, color film for pasting unit, urgency of the order and desired utilization of the material. The system outputs are the automatically generated cutting cards. The environment of warehouse management supports multi-inventory systems simulation including two-echelon systems and optimization of model variables using evolutionary strategy. The op-timized parameters are critical levels of ordering goods and orders volume. The criteria includes storage costs, organization costs supplies and penalties for shortage of warehouse goods. The environment of design schedules supports the optimization on the basis of genetic algorithm which includes crossover and mutation operators that provide obtaining the solutions, satis-fying to problem constraints.

Currently, continuous casting is dominant in production of non-ferrous metals and their alloys. However, tech-nological practice actively introducing new casting technology which requires careful study and justification. Casting process designers have to deal with software to research physical phenomena during metal casting and crystallizing and to optimize process-dependent parameters. Such systems at the initial stage can replace a physical model experiment with a computing experiment to save resources. The article describes the mathematical model and software for modelling vertical continuous and discrete-continuous casting of nonferrous metal. The first section of the article reviews basic requirements for mathemat-ical models of casting process as well as the scheme and the model of search technological process. The second section d e-scribes a CAE casting process and conducting computing experiment which makes it possible to establish the main laws and get the advices on the development of optimum modes. The software can be implemented in technological practice in indu s-try. The resulting recommendations for optimal conditions can be used in the design of new processes and selection of ope r-ating practices on operating enterprise to improve product quality and increase the productivity of the process.

This article discusses a method of increasing the efficiency of a wide range of anaerobic microbiological pro-cesses by introducing continuous cultivation of microorganisms circulation to a scheme. Improvement of continuous process operation biotechnological processes is possible with the use of substrate and bio-mass. Recycling allows increasing the amount of flow and process productivity on the target component. At the same time re-cycling imposes additional constraints on the initial data assignment process. They are an initial substrate concentration, size and magnitude of the volume flow recirculation rate which should be carried out in the algorithm and the program in accord-ance with kinetic characteristics. Based on kinetic relations, the authors have developed an algorithm and software implementation to calculate anaerobic biotechnological process indicators with recirculation of the substrate and biomass provided complete separation of the prod-uct from the recycle stream. The relations provide an opportunity for practice. D R circulation flow rate has been measured by the efficiency of the QP intended product. The algorithm includes 21 a calculation variant of process implementing, each of them can be evaluated in the introduced flowchart. Except for calculation of process indicators, the program contains a user certificate including a description of the varia-bles and a brief program manual. There are numerical results of calculations for different initial tasks of technological parameters. They prove that the in-troduction of circulation results in increased productivity of the QP target product (compared to the same circuit and the input parameters without recirculation flow). A distinctive feature of the approach is the suggested process diversity. It allows assessing the positive effect of including recirculation to the scheme without experiment, just using a software product. Obtained relations and software implementation of the calculations can serve as a working tool for the design process and the basis for further developments in this field, in particular to assess the transient regimes and stability of steady states.

Dissipation of characteristics of construction materials fatigue properties is caused by a number of objective factors. But this problem can be solved through developing and implementing into engineering practice effective mathemati-cal methods of analyzing experimental information. This paper considers optimum planning of fatigue tests. The problem of such tests optimization is important because of their expensiveness for aviation industry, so when planning the minimum number of tests their objectives must be taken into consideration. At the same time the developed statistical analysis metho d-ology is invariant to the type of tested objects. It allows increasing accuracy of defining design characteristics of endurance and fatigue limit, considerably reducing the number of fatigue tests necessary for achieving required accuracy, thus reducing their time duration and cost. The use of the existing worksheet of exact values of noncentral distribution fractiles, as well as mathematical calculation of exact values of fractiles is connected with high labour intensity of computational procedures. This paper contains new algorithms of test planning in fractile estimating and exact calculation of Student fractile of noncentral distribution. It allows offering simpler and perfect software products (considering the speed of calculations) in comparison with offered earlier.

Economic development of the modern state is defined by the presence of advanced telecommunications system. It is one of the indicators of the investment climate in the country. The telecommunications industry is i m-portant for the information society development in Russia. It involves using information resources by citizens, public authorities and enterprises. Currently one of the most important factors increasing telecommunications companies competitiveness is their ability to respond quickly to the dynamic fluctuations of the environment. A large number of different non-interacting operations and technological infrastructure complexity obstructs taking efficient decisions. In these circumstances, it becomes appropriate to use computer decision support systems (DSS). One way of creating such systems is applying of simulation models of telecommunication companies. It helps to o b-tain a data set for choosing useful management decisions depending on operational and financial capacity of the mod-eling object. The paper presents the general structure of the multi-agent model of a telecommunications market de-signed to support decision-making in the marketing field. The process of creating multi-agent systems involves follow-ing steps: analysis, design and implementation, debugging and testing. Software implementation of a multi -agent simulation model assumes a modular structure. It is performed in Java object-oriented language using the Eclipse de-velopment tools and Microsoft Structured Query Language Server. The main emphasis is on the software implementa-tion of the model. The paper also shows the general architecture of the system, UML class diagram and code snippets in Java.

The article describes the software that implements data processing and analysis of expert interviews for predictive estimate of economic and social systems reactions on the possible control actions. Existing software prod-ucts for data collecting and processing have drawbacks when calculating the predictive estimate of economic and so-cial systems reactions based on processing and analyzing data obtained from the expert interview. As a result, there is low information awareness because of frequent processing of semantically equivalent information, a large quantity of empty rated values in the hypercube tables. That’s why there is no possibilit y to perform data analysis which is not foreseen by a questionnaire plan. What’s more important, the expert’s confidence in each answer choice is not taken into consideration. Moreover experts’ opinions are not fully analyzed because they can be different in confidence level of predictive estimate for system reaction to the possible management actions. In order to eliminate the mentioned di s-advantages, a processing approach to the questionnaire procedure has been developed. This approach is different b e-cause it includes processes of extra analyzing of the expert estimation results with multivariate analysis to take the best managing decision.

The paper discusses the problems of the large-scale software systems development. It shows the necessi-ty of using specialized quality control systems for the final product. It also suggests an algorithm for discipline review, as well as user requirements review in terms of joint design and software products d evelopment. There are the main advantages of special software means for validation and verification comparing to other software systems estimation and compliance testing methods. The article is primarily oriented at software developers and production managers wanting to automate the collabo-rative code review and verification process. It is also useful for quality assurance engineers eager to reduce labor costs at the testing stage, to detect errors in the program code at the earliest stages of system’s lifecycle. Relevance of the ar-ticle is determined by the usage of contemporary and comprehensive methods to ensure software code development’s flexibility and transparency. They allow reducing development deadlines, improving the quality and reliability of the process, reducing costs, bringing all the code to a common styling and refining the mechanisms of interaction within the team, contributing to the evolution of mutual trust between the members of development and testing teams.

The article describes EHIPS (Environmental Health Information Processing System). It is a software for model-based assessment of population health risk from industrial and transport emissions of pollutants to atmosphere. It has been developed mainly by the staff of the Space Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences and used for more than 100 industrial plants. It has several original architectural features in-cluding the OLAP engine for handling the multidimensional data cubes, which is the main mode of data processing in the system. Another feature is a special way of handling the results of pollution dispersion modeling by the well-known AERMOD model: we process the full time series of modeled concentrations instead of using only a time aggregate produced by built-in AERMOD tools as usually done. There are several other special data pro-cessing methods. For example, stochastic representation of emissions from pulsed sources. Multidimensional cubes are visualized as two -dimensional sections within a special module of the system which is also used for manipulating the cube, e.g. for binary operations on s elected sections. Another module is a GIS-like mapping tool for handling the positions of emission sources and risk receptors and for spatial visualization of the resu lts of risk assessment. We think that this experience of developing and applying such a specialized OLAP system can be useful not only for risk assessment, but also in other domains where multidimensional hypercubes are a natural form of data, but where the logic is different from the logic of business appli-cations which are the mainstream in OLAP.
